Dr. Pacheco received her B.S.N. from Rutgers University College of Nursing in 1984. Her clinical experience as an R.N. was in obstetrics and maternal child healthcare. Dr. Pacheco was inspired to pursue a degree in Osteopathic Medicine while working as an R.N. with Sally Simpson, D.O. in a 26 bed Osteopathic hospital in Bangor, Maine. Dr. Simpson repeatedly demonstrated the clinical effectiveness of skilled Osteopathic hands in obstetrics and surgery. Dr. Pacheco observed a distinct advantage of Dr. Simpson’s training over conventional medical training.

She intensively studied with James Jealous, D.O. from 1987 through 1993, and continues to study and teach Biobasics with Dr. Jealous. Dr. Pacheco also had the privilege of studying with Anne Wales, D.O. Dr. Wales was on teaching faculty with W.G. Sutherland, D.O., who developed Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.
