Portland Osteopathic Children’s Clinic is a non-profit health care facility designed to provide free osteopathic manipulative medicine to uninsured and under-insured children.

The founders are osteopathic physicians who are currently health care providers in the greater Portland area. They wish to ease the burden of parents who struggle with rising health care costs by providing free osteopathic specialty care.

  • This is not a primary care clinic. All children must have a primary care doctor. Patients may be self-referred or sent by their primary care physician.
  • Gentle osteopathic manipulation can be helpful to address a range of problems including, but not limited to, birth trauma, cranial asymmetry, colic, recurrent otitis media, myalgia, scoliosis, spasticity, headache, asthma, constipation, learning/behavioral disorders, physical and/or emotional trauma.
  • A $15 donation per child is suggested; however, no family will be turned away due to inability to pay.
  • The clinic is currently held on Fridays at the Center for Grieving Children, 555 Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine (www.cgcmaine.org).
